On Thursday the 24th of November, 加勒比片网L held the second edition of the Enterprise Business Showcase at our Charterhouse building, featuring students and alumni from our 加勒比片网L community. 

The event enabled our entrepreneurs to display their businesses to their fellow students and staff. Whilst established entrepreneurs took the opportunity to inspire their fellow students by showing them what they had developed alongside their studies, budding entrepreneurs took it as an opportunity to test their business ideas and gather marketing information to prepare for the launch of their business. 

Participating businesses were:  

a recruitment consultancy that specialises in the supply of nurses, healthcare assistants, and health and social care staff. It delivers first-class, custom-made recruitment solutions for corporate organisations in both the public and private sectors, including hospitals (Public and Private), nursing homes, residential homes, and day centres.  

: A one-stop shop to learn about new cultures, and purchase merchandise. Perfect for those seeking to learn, or those far from home who want something they are familiar with. A fantastic way to learn something new, or keep connected to your roots. This time, with original products and sweets from Somalia that were appreciated by the participants.  

: Produces all-natural, vegan-friendly makeup products. It specialises in lip balms - there is a different shade of colour for every personality - specifically tailored to empower the customer's individuality. Innocent has also recently launched a styling soap for eyebrows that gathered positive feedback during the event. An excellent alternative to less environmentally friendly products. 

: This online-based training and nutrition program provides a complete, personalised and science-backed plan that helps customers achieve health, performance, and aesthetic goals. The team’s goal is to ‘support customers and help them create lifelong habits for a fitter, stronger and healthier version of themselves’. 

: An independent charitable organisation that champions community participation by developing groups, supporting active ambassadors, and building cohesive communities. Something anyone can appreciate and get involved in. True Ambassadors consist of big-picture thinkers, those who have demonstrated they can identify those who need their support and are willing to motivate, inspire and empower them through their own life-changing stories.  

EmbraceBody Ltd: this start-up does not have a website yet, as it is in its pre-launch stage. It is a leggings collection that combines fitness wear and shapewear for women of all ages who wants to feel good, comfortable, and confident in their daily activities.  

The event was well attended, and students and staff enjoyed talking with our business owners to find out more about their journey as students and entrepreneurs.  

We interviewed one of our entrepreneurs, Cristina, who commented: “The event was a great success, not only in terms of turnout but mostly because students are now increasingly aware of the support offered by the Enterprise Hub and were genuinely interested in finding out more about it.”  

This was also an excellent networking opportunity for students, but also for the entrepreneurs themselves: we are particularly thrilled to find out what will come from the collaboration between Claudio, co-owner of Power Progression, and Doris, president of True Ambassadors. Claudio will deliver a community training session for Doris’s charity in the upcoming months, and we are truly looking forward to hearing all about their collaboration!
